iPhone apps that I actually use
Inspired by Minimalist Mac, I cleared my first two iPhone screens and started moving in apps that I actually use. The first page I made a strict rule: Only apps that I use every single day. The second page are apps that I use at least once a week, but not every day. The third page is apps I find handy but don’t use often. The fourth page is Apple apps that I don’t use and can’t...

My new Google Reader folders
I’ve been using Google Reader for several years now and never quite been happy with my folder set up. I’ve been finding a few examples here and there of how people have set up theirs and decided to work on my own. Here’s what I’ve got now: A-List - good writers on any topic that I do not want to miss Friends in Real Life™ Local - anything specifically related to Dallas...

An engineer's calculators
The Casio ƒx-115MS. Surprisingly, this is one of the best calculators I have ever owned. I purchased it for using during my Fundamentals of Engineering exam as it was one of the few calculators that they allowed that did basic “solve for x”. Now, 6 years later, I use it daily because: 1) I’ve never had to replace the batteries, 2) it lets you build a calculation on the...

Who are you honking at? (via Vimeo) I’m impressed with the officer’s reaction. I wonder how that would work for non-police. “Can I help you sir?”

A Break, to Reset
As some of you know, I’m on a (short) hiatus from work. Today was my first day of non-work. However, I prefer to not think of it like that. This isn’t exactly a vacation. I’m not traveling anywhere grand and I’m not turning it into the ultimate hedonistic Christmas. Instead, I’m hoping to take a bit of time to do a few personal things (car repairs, files organized,...
